We have all heard by now that Euna Lee and Laura Ling were captured a few months ago for crossing into North Korea and have now been found guilty of unspecified “grave crimes” and “hostile acts” which will result in “hard labor” for the next 12 years Ms. Lee and Ms. Ling were on assignment for Current TV, which was co-founded by Al Gore. I feel sorry for these ladies because Kim Jong Il only views Obama as an mouthy child to be ignored. Obama has proved himself to be the paper tiger when it comes to international relations. Think about this for a moment, What leader in the world thought that Bush 43 would first get a consensus from the world before defending ourselves? Did any leader of a rogue country think that Clinton or Bush 41 would not have attempted to defend a threat against American Interests? I remember watching TV when Reagan made it clear where he and America stood when he ordered planes to bomb Libya because Col Muammar Gaddafi thought it would be okay to commit terrorists acts against Americans on foreign soil. It didn’t take long before Gaddafi had a change of heart when the consequences of his decisions were met with the strong hand of America.
Obama has failed to understand what it means, “To whom much is given, much is expected” when it comes to power and responsibility as the President. He does not know how to control the power he has been given and as such does not know how to negotiate with it. JFK understood the responsibility of restraint of American power during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Bush 43 understood the responsibility of power when he set into play the idea that force is to be used to restrain any desire of the enemy to attack again. And Bush 41 reminded Hussain that we take care of our friends. This was the same responsibility of power that Truman used when he had to decide if killing 100’s of thousands of people was worth the millions that the Emperor of Japan was willing to sacrifice for his imagined victory?
So here we are with two women who are sentenced to hard labor. Keep in mind that there is no easy labor or human rights in dictatorship of North Korea. Although Hilary is attempting to tell America that Kim Jong Li does not view these women purely as negotiation pawns is a flat out lie. Kim will attempt to play on American sympathys and will attempt to push Obama around so that all Obama will do is ask for other countries help and more empty threats. Obama’s threats, “You’d better stop or I’m going to try and get all my friends to tell you to stop.” So what does Obama actually do in a crisis? He is on a nonstop tour of asking forgiveness for all the harm that America has caused the world and how wrongfully we have acquired power to hoard over better civilized and peaceful nations.
So all we hear is Sec. of State Clinton let the world know that we are attempting to put N. Korea back on the Terrorist List and Obama is upset by Korean’s 12 year “hard labor” sentence of these women. Let me remind you of what Obama said when Tiller the abortionist was murdered.
“I am shocked and outraged by the murder of Dr. George Tiller as he attended church services this morning.”
This was of course is not murder but again, don’t forget that these ladies aren’t covered under humanitarian rights while in North Korea. There is no outrage that Kim would attempt to play with the lives of American Citizens is there? There is no shock from Obama that North Korea would think that it was okay to threaten American. So what does Obama say about this….well, nothing. He doesn’t know what to do and if he did say something it would just be ignored again. The only option that Obama has is to put Hilary out there so that if something goes wrong it will go all down on her. Heck, maybe Kim will give some empathy to Euna Lee and Laura Ling because what the world needs now is …..well…..LOVE.
