I was thinking about the taxes and regulations that Obama and Barney Frank wanted to place on the American Taxer Payer. Barney Frank has said that he not only wanted to cap CEO salaries of banks that have received TARP monies but also just about every CEO in America. The Federal Government no only wants to control the health care industry, auto industry, but also every industry that produces the by product of income for the producers. This, of course, includes everyone from the bag boy at a local supermarket to the president of a charity.
The Federal Government has decided that it would be a good idea to select a people group (AIG employees that received legal bonuses) to tax when the Federal Government was embarrassed that their own “Stimulus Bill” legally bound AIG to pay those bonuses. The Federal Government decided that it should increase the taxes of the wealthy because that would generate more monies to be distributed. In short, an economy that is overly regulated in which income, spending, and production are controlled by a governing body should produce more, as a whole, than those that are free to create wealth on their own with minimum regulations.
If this is the case then it would be proper to say and to expect that inmates in our prisons throughout America should be the most productive, moral, wealthiest places to work. Every inmate receives:
- the same hourly wage
- the same housing amenities
- the same governing body that determines what they can and can not do
- the same standard of living
- equal distribution of work according to their ability
- the same nutrition and food
- the same work ethic
- the same incentives
- the same access to education
- the same access to the court system
- the same equal protection under the law
- the same access to health care
- the same access to security and protection
- the same access to the news via television and radio
- the same access to exercise and exercise equipment
- the same voting rights
- the same regulations
- the same open border policy
- racial equality
- HAVE I MISSED ANYTHING?
Isn’t this what Obama (equal income distribution), Barney Frank (income limitations), Sibelius (health care), ACORN (equal voting and housing rights), and the NAACP (racial equality in rights and income) want for America? If America can only be successful when everyone is equal in production, income, housing and health care then the American Prison System should show the blessings of Socialism. Sadly, this is not the case and more times than not those inmates once free are not prepared to be free and will soon go back because of the ease of having others tell him what to do.
A prisoner must not only believe in the change of his clothes and of his rights when he dons the orange jump suite and slippers but he must also believe that what comes with this change is chains.
