Do you remember when you blamed your teachers and maybe even your principal for your misbehavior? For some reason we really thought that our teachers had it out for us. The fact of the matter is we just didn’t want to take responsibility for our actions. Although it didn’t work for us the Democrat Party thinks it will work with them and the American People. Obama’s nominees have been nothing but cheats and liars. They have hidden these federal crimes but once these crimes were laid open and they found wanting the Democrats have quickly quelled its seriousness by shifting blame.
Robert Gibbs who speaks for Obama about Tim’s foibles:
“He’s dedicated his career to our country and served with honor, intelligence and distinction. That service should not be tarnished by honest mistakes, which, upon learning of them, he quickly addressed.” In short, Tims offenses are liken to youthful mischief.
Consider these stories:
The Government called Liddy out of retirement to be the CEO of AIG to get it back running again. What happened? Obama signed the Stimulus Bill that allowed for bonuses to be paid and then turned around and castigated him in front of the world for giving out those bonuses. Obama just couldn’t fess up that he made a mistake in not knowing what was in the Stimulus Bill to begin with…well other than …”The Government will get bigger.”
Every time Obama spoke about taking over the economy the Markets sank deeper resulting in millions of dollars of income and retirement lost in a days time. What happened? Obama blamed Bush for the deficit that he inherited. The problem: Although Bush started with the TARP it was Obama who decided to double the deficit of Bush in less that 60 days into office. Can you guess what side Obama’s budget is on?
When the housing market failed the Democrats were quick to point fingers at Wall Street’s ”greed.” Since the Community Reinvestment Act demanded banks give loans to risks customers, the banks either had to close up shop or be “greedy” and stay in business. Let’s not forget that Barney Frank said he wanted to role the dice and see how these risky loans played out. Rule #645: Always role the dice with other people’s money.
When Chris Dodd was confronted about his lies on inserting the allowance for the Retention Bonuses he first blamed on unknown figure and then a day later pointed back to the Treasury Department. He took the stance that he was a victim of sorts just doing what he was told.
When Obama’s nominees were repudiated for breaking the law the only thing that could be blamed was similar to “youthful mischief.”
- “They didn’t realize what they were doing.”
- “No one can be perfect all of the time.”
I don’t think that holds up in law very much when one is on trial for federal crimes.
When Obama was questioned about the legality of his citizenship, the Democrat party pulled the race card, watered down the accusation by questioning McCain’s citizenship, and contaminated evidence by not showing an original birth certificate but only a digital copy. In fact, the site, www.fightthesmears.com claims, “Next time someone talks about Barack’s birth certificate, make sure they see this page.” Question: who is the US knows a counterfeit birth certificate from Hawaii? That would be like making photo copies of 100.00 bills and saying, “They came from an authentic one. Therefore, it must be authentic.” Or even better. Look, I have a picture of Obama playing golf with TOTUS. See it must be real.
Obama nominated tax cheat and liar Tom Daschle because he was the best person available for the job. Obama’s history of befriending and trusting liars and cheats says more about his character than anything else that he could do. But what does he tell us. Forget about the morality of their hearts and focus on their brains. Consider Durbin’s thoughts on another Obama tax cheat nominee Tom Daschle when he stepped back from the opportunity.
“It really sets us back a step . . . because he was such a talent. I mean he understood Congress, serving in the House and Senate; he certainly had the confidence of the president.”
Remember it is the brain we must focus on because we know that we always make choices from our brains and never our hearts. Although, I will have to say that it was quite honorable for Tom to walk away from this opportunity because he understood integrity and honor.
Last one and then I’m going to go. During Obama’s press conference on March 24 he was asked about his desire to cut the interest rate deduction for mortgages and for charities. His reply:
Now, if it’s really a charitable contribution, I’m assuming that that shouldn’t be the determining factor as to whether you’re giving that $100 to the homeless shelter down the street.
Obama is saying that it doesn’t matter how much he does or does not allow tax deductions from charities because giving donations is the matter of the heart and not the wallet. He is attempting to put a guilt trip on the American people! Does it matter why someone is donating money? That would be like saying,
“Banks don’t you want to reinvest in the community that you are loaning money too? Don’t you want everyone to have the opportunity to buy a place to call home? Don’t you want children to have a safe place to run, to play, and to go to school? Well, then lend money to those who don’t have great credit so that this can happen.”
Oh, I think that did happen….my bad.
Its always the same thing. Blame someone else or maybe your own judgment so that the focus is not on you. Well, what else should we expect from liars and cheaters.
