The Right Scoop wrote a piece today about Liddy being the fall guy for the Government. What would you expect from an Administration that finds a fondness for liars and cheats in the name of American Patriotism. It is a shame to our American culture and history that the Government is willing to bring an innocent man before itself and condemn him for abiding by the law. Listen to Liddy’s statement
“Six months ago I came out of retirement to help my country,” said Mr. Liddy, 63, a former chief executive at Allstate insurance. “At the government’s request I’ve had the duty and extraordinary challenge of serving as chairman and chief executive officer of American International Group, or A.I.G.”
Think about the persuasions that had to occur to get a man of his success to take on a failing business for only $1.00 per year and then have those very same people threaten him with imprisonment if he didn’t give up the names of the very employee’s that the Stimulus Bill protects. It almost seems like those Reps. just want to wax eloquent for American History. Take a look at this exchange.
But I think the better question is this. Why was the Government willing to take a competent businessman out of retirement and only pay him a dollar to fix a company they thought would ruin the American Economy? What was that dollar worth to the government?
That dollar is worth a whole lot of money to the Democrat Run Government. They messed up by creating a Stimulus Bill that no one read and now have found themselves covering their tracks over the legal bonuses. That dollar is worth a whole lot when America focuses on the evils of the rich and not on the very Government who continuously creates programs that keeps the poor…poor.
I’d say the Government got a lot of worth out of their $1.00. Too bad the Government feels that Liddy, the threatened employees, the American Tax Payers are only worth $1.00.
Liddy just needs to take a crisp one dollar bill and slap it down on the table and say, “You can have your [blanketidy blank blank] dollar back.”

Definitely the fall guy, but more an intentional deception by the new administration to make people angry at the wealthy so he can continue to “socialize” the world.
I betcha Liddy has thought about giving the dollar back too, but I also bet he is more of a man that much of congress that berated him so, and he will continue to be an American hero.
