Word is that Nancy Pelosi, The House Speaker, has forgoten that America was created with a Government for the benefit of the people not the other way around. Thanks to the FED GOV desire for transparency the Judicial Watch searched out some emails from Nancy Pelosi’s staff about her desire to use military aircraft for her comings and goings. In fact, she wanted to charge the American Tax Payer for a flight that would only take about 1.5 hrs to drive by car.
The reason that CEOs can fly on private jets whenever and wherever they want is because they are flying on their dime. If money is in the bank then the CEO can fly….if no money then no fly, fly. HOWEVER, a Government official is working FOR the interests and in behalf of the people they represent. Since the government taxes it’s people it is also a steward of our money for the benefit of the whole nation. Nancy apparently doesn’t think so and I am going to get hot if we don’t hear anything from Obama…so I might as well get a nice cold sweet tea from Chick-fla-a because I don’t think that Obama is going to say anything. But let’s revisit Obama’s speech to a joint session of congress on Feb 24, 2009 (DJIA 7350.95):
I intend to hold these banks fully accountable for the assistance they receive, and this time, they will have to clearly demonstrate how taxpayer dollars result in more lending for the American taxpayer. This time, CEOs won’t be able to use taxpayer money to pad their paychecks or buy fancy drapes or disappear on a private jet. Those days are over.
Aren’t taxes used for the transportation of Representatives? Well, consider this from Judicial Watch:
The documents also detail correspondence from intermediaries for Speaker Pelosi issuing demands for certain aircraft and expressing outrage when requested military planes were not available. “It is my understanding there are no G5s available for the House during the Memorial Day recess. This is totally unacceptable…The speaker will want to know where the planes are…” wrote Kay King, Director of the House Office of Interparliamentary Affairs. In a separate email, when told a certain type of aircraft would not be available, King writes, “This is not good news, and we will have some very disappointed folks, as well as a very upset [s]peaker.”
“Hell hath no furry like a woman’s scorn against her country” Email Nancy and let her know her behavior and irresponsibility with tax payer monies is unacceptable. I did!!!!
