Welcome to America fellow citizens of the world, where the streets of gold are now stained by the blood of the American Worker
-The Crave
You know I started to read the articles on Obama’s budget plan for next year and it took everything I had to not destroy this dang computer monitor. What in the world is everyone thinking. Have we not learned about the irresponsibility of the Fed Gov when it comes to controlling the incomes of it tax payers instead of controlling the protection of American Citizens life liberty and pursuit of happiness and its borders with the military? They sold us a bill of goods with Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare, welfare and now THIS with more health care reform. Every year I look at my tax forms and look for the OPT-OUT box for social security, medicare, and medicaid. I don’t want them!!! BUT GUESS WHAT, it’s a ponzi scheme and I will never get my initial (forced) investment back. These social programs don’t help anyone in the manner they are run. But this is not the thesis of this post. Click here for my post on socialized medicine.
I think Obama and his cohorts are thinking the same thing as those who bought houses they couldn’t afford, “Well, I must be able to pay it and have good credit. Why would they give it to me if we didn’t?” Obama’s thoughts, “The People of America voted the Democrats in for a reason. The Democrats keep voting for my stimulus plans. I must be doing something right!” Let’s see 300 Billion in TARP 1, 1 Trillion Dollars in Stimulus, and now this. Let me remind you about what Obama said in the third debate with McCain.
OBAMA: Absolutely. So let me get to that. What I want to emphasize, though, is that I have been a strong proponent of pay-as- you-go. Every dollar that I’ve proposed, I’ve proposed an additional cut so that it matches.
I’m not sure that “non-truth teller” is a strong enough word!
Where is this money going to come from? Those who make significant incomes will only do what is in their best interests. So if the Fed taxes those who make a significant income to obtain more taxes then what will they do when those incomes are lessened so that those workers are not taxed as much? All of a sudden the Fed has a deficit. To make up the difference the Fed will have to tax those with smaller incomes more than before to make up the difference. But then the same thing will happen there too. These tax payers will then want to make less and less money so that they can keep a higher percentage of it after taxes. What then? Where will they get their money then? OH I KNOW, JUST MAKE IT. My Dad always told me that money doesn’t grow on trees. To bad he didn’t know about the Fed!!!
This is what happens when the Fed stops protecting the life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness rights of it’s citizens and attempts to manage it’s citizenry like a company. A employer controls how much its employee’s make and what he gives them in return for their hard work. In return for a paycheck the employee will produce more than what the employer pays each employee. The Government doesn’t produce anything! So how can it have employee’s. It’s going to be interesting when those that voted for Obama and the Media behind him have to say, “What have we done?”
The founding fathers set up a government to help protect the interests of it’s people. It is suppose to set up an environment that allows the citizenry to thrive. How can taxing them for a system that they don’t want help them? Two quotes from John Adams:
Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide.
John Adams, letter to John Taylor, April 15, 1814Government is instituted for the common good; for the protection, safety, prosperity, and happiness of the people; and not for profit, honor, or private interest of any one man, family, or class of men; therefore, the people alone have an incontestable, unalienable, and indefeasible right to institute government; and to reform, alter, or totally change the same, when their protection, safety, prosperity, and happiness require it.
John Adams, Thoughts on Government, 1776“Posterity, you will never know how much it cost the present generation to preserve your freedom. I hope you will make good use of it. If you do not, I shall repent in heaven that ever I took half the pains to preserve it.“John Adams
