Ok, I’m a little confused here. I stumbled upon HotAir.com, AGI.it, and nytimes.com that American tax payer’s money is going to pay for the rebuilding of Gaza. Help he out here Fed. I know that America needs to protect American interests near and far but I don’t understand what American interests this protects. Someone please help me out here! The Democrats are complaining that capitalism as we know it is about to crumble unless the Fed takes over the banks. (Word is now that the Fed is going to have about a 40% stake into Citigroup) Yeah, I know that they keep saying that they don’t want to nationalize the banks but the fact of the matter is … I’m hearing and seeing a duck!
Obama’s peeps said that he is going to speak like Reagan tonight in is address to Congress. Well, the fact of the matter is that he has been speaking doom and gloom for all of us UNLESS WE GIVE HIM MONEY BY FORCE (VIA TAXES) TO DO AS HE PLEASES WITH IT. So if America is so bad off and no one has any money to even pay for their mortgages then where is Obama going to get the taxes to pay for the 900 million to the Gazans? If capitalism is about to cease to exist then that would make us vulnerable for attack. If this is the case then why did he cut military spending by 10%? In addition, why would you give money to those who want to destroy our ally, Israel?
I know, I know, there will be those that say this money is going to NGOs and the like. But I ask you this: If we can’t keep up with where US dollars are going here in States then pray tell me how are we going to control and verify where the money goes outside our purview? Question: If government is the all benevolent when it comes to allocating money and investing then why is it that 90% of the time it is government controlled institutions are the least productive and efficient? In short, if the government is not responsible with money in our own country then how in the world can we be sure that all the 900 million will go to its intended purpose through other NGOs?
There is no way that Hamas isn’t going to get some of this money and use it against Israel. Israel is OUR ally that we need to protect it. Besides Israel offers stability to that region. Why would we do anything that would remotely change this. So much for the Fiscal Responsibility Seminar! I wish we would hear about this spending from more of the governors who were up there.

I think you’re right. The representatives are there to make decisions in our stead that benefit us. How is it in our best interest to give tax payer money to those who hate us and Israel?
